Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
I have an office in Elk Grove, CA, just south of Sacramento. I also provide remote therapy to clients who reside anywhere in California.
Do you accept insurance?
I am “in-network” with multiple insurance providers through a platform called “Grow”. Please see my booking link to see if I take your insurance. If I do not currently take your insurance, rest assured you can still work with me. I can provide a “super bill” for my services, which can then be submitted to your insurance. This means your insurance will reimburse you for all sessions at their predetermined rate (usual a percentage of the session cost). The cost to you will depend on your specific plan, but is often very similar to your co-pay if you were to see an in-network provider.
What is your fee and how can I pay?
If I am in network with your insurance, you only pay your co-pay. The platform I use for billing (Grow) will ask you to put a credit card on file for your portion of each session. For cash pay clients, my current cash rate is $160 for an hour session and $240 for an hour and a half session. As mentioned above, super bills are provided to cash pay clients so you can seek reimbursement from your insurance, which greatly reduces the cost to you per session.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
I do offer evening and weekend appointments. Please contact me to discuss your needs and I will do the best to accommodate your schedule.
Do you provide any guidance prior to a first session?
I am happy to discuss your needs and reasons for seeking therapy in advance of scheduling your first appointment. I want to ensure my approach and experience are a good fit for you. You can reach me through my contact page.
How soon can I start?
I can usually set you up with a first appointment within 1-2 weeks. If I am not able to do this, I can put you on a waitlist to have priority for first availability or provide referrals to other therapists in the area.
